16th October 2007: Conversion to iSBEM v2.0.a, v2.0.b, or v2.0.c
It has been reported that an error occurs in the conversion tools of iSBEM versions v2.0.a, v2.0.b and v2.0.c that affects nct files which include HVAC systems of the types "Variable refrigerant flow" or "Split or multi-split system with ventilation". From version v2.0.a onwards, these two system types were removed from the HVAC system type options and replaced by the system type "Split or multi-split system with natural ventilation". However, the conversion tool of those versions failed to reset the system type to the right value, and set the type parameter to "Central heating using water: floor heating" instead.
If you encounter this problem in any of your models, please proceed as follows: Convert the nct file to the version you wish to use, then open the converted file and (in those HVAC systems affected by the error in the conversion) manually set the system type to "Split or multi-split system with natural ventilation". Once you set the right system type you will need to check the other parameters of the HVAC system, especially the efficiencies. If these systems are accompanied by mechanical ventilation, mechanical ventilation should now be defined at zone level, with a suitable ventilation SFP.
